Modular In

Modular inlet module. See Use Modular to understand how modular works.

Settings

type

Type of modular input or output.

  • audio
  • cv
  • cv frequency
  • gate (switch or trigger)
  • midi
  • video

Some optional controls appear when type=CV

value

Value received from the inlet.

connected

Send 1 if the modular inlet is connected.

caption

Displayed caption of the object. Click to enter a new name.

from control

Inlet to connect to a fader/knob to modify the output value.

The min/max of the fader/knob must be the same than min/max of this module.

mode

Proposes different modulations types.

  • modulate under control val
  • modulate around control val
  • modulate around full range
  • bypass control val

min

Expected minimum value for the modular inlet.

Must be the same than the min value of the fader/knob connected to the from control.

max

Expected maximum value for the modular inlet.

Must be the same than the max value of the fader/knob connected to the from control.

for example if we have a delay value (ms) to connect to this module we could have min=0 and max=2000.

range

The range is visible when type=CV and is represented by a white circle outside the inlet. It can be modified with the mouse wheel.

It's the modulation range applied to the wire in [0..1].

range = 1

range = 0.5

saved in preset

Determines if parameters of this object are saved in the preset-panel.

fade preset

Parameters of the this object can cross faded when you recall a preset in the grid.

Optional setting, does not appear on all objects.

can be randomized

When ON, this object will be randomized when using the randomize command of its patch.

can be reset

When ON, this object will be reseted to its default value when using the reset command of its patch.

hint

String displayed on mouse over on the control.
