Granulator (USER MODULE)

Create audio grains from an incoming audio source with some visual feedback of the grain envelope.

All parameters can be manipulated in real time but are effective on the next created grain.

Settings

in

Audio input flow(s).

out

Audio output flow(s).

trig out

Sends a trigger each time a new grain is generated.

interval

Interval between two grains.

User negative intervals to overlap grains.

grain env

Type of envelope for grains, used in conjunction with env var inlet.

  • Linear ASR : from square (env var=0) to triangle (env var=1).
  • Bezier : from thin pulse (env var=0) to rounded square (env var=1).
  • Raised Cosine Bell : from square (env var=0) to cosine bell (env var=1).

env var

Envelop shape (see above).

duration

Total duration of a grain, thus corresponding to the envelope time size.

pitch

Pitch of the grain in semi tone.

grain mode

  • interval: grain is created each x milliseconds given by the interval value.
  • play button: grain is created each time the play button is used.

play

Generates a grain.

Only when grain mode = play button.

saved in preset

Determines if parameters of this object are saved in the preset-panel.

fade preset

Parameters of the this object can cross faded when you recall a preset in the grid.

Optional setting, does not appear on all objects.

hint

Hint text displayed on mouse over.
