I think in some cases it could be incredibly usefull (and pretty) to be able to set transparency for IB items.... For example , a VU meter could be behind a fader, opaque buttons over an opaque graphic design etc.
Also an option in layout to set an IB item to always either be on top or in back. Right now it can get a bit complicated when you want to for example put an led on top of a switch.
