As long as I can used bsork2 for Wiki editing, it doesn't really matter for me, but the problem may be something to have in mind next time something is being done on with access rights and so forth..?

Did you enabled all the cookies on IE? I suspect a security restriction from IE. Personally I had to disable all the IE protection to access to the wiki correctly but it wasn't a login trouble.
