I tried to load the preset file into subpatch poly 2 and it did not work. I then looked in the 2 preset files. They are like:
[VERSION] save version=115 usine version=HH5 date usine=211124
[6977464658333720400]
The number in brackets is presumably an ID to make sure you a reloading into the same patch. If I change the ID to that of poly 2, the preset from poly 1 will then load into poly 2.
I understand the ID is there to protect usine where loading a preset that was saved from a completely different patch could cause chaos ? So I think we need some special Polyphony support that would allow a patch from one Poly voice to load into another Poly voice.
Perhaps a list of alternate IDs (from all the poly voices) could be put in the patch file ? It would make sense to only allow the duplicate IDs for items that are the same in all the poly voices - Usine would obviously have that information.
Simon.

Could the plugin manager load/save be given a direct file load/save option (like the HH5 preset manager has for direct-to-file) ?
I know I could save the VST settings with a Usine preset of the patch containing the VST, but that would mean restructuring my workspace to put each VST instance into a separate subpatch.
