Welcome to our new site and forum

Unread post by senso » 16 Oct 2019, 13:27

Hello to the community,
We are changing many things on Sensomusic.

- Our name becomes BrainModular and our site www.brainmodular.com.

- The forum also changes the old Sensomusic Forum will be down very soon. You may encounter some trouble to login into the new forum because it was impossible to import old passwords. Just fill the forgot password field to get a new password by mail. Then, it will be possible to change it.

- We are preparing the final version of HH4, it will be out in a couple of weeks.

Hi,
Since the changes my Usine HH3 has decided it is not authorized and I cannot authorize it.
I have got a new password and changed it back to my old one on the new forum.

When I enter the details in the settings box, it always says "you are not correctly registered".
Also, the username box appears corrupted with:

The forums are temporarily down for maintenance. Please try again in a few minutes.
I suppose existing Usine configs are trying to connect to the old website - how are you going to get round that ?

Anyway, if this is not going to work for a while, please send me an activation key I can use instead.

Thanks,
Simon.

the link to the forum from the main site doesn't work either, links to "https://www.brainmodular.com/forum" instead of "https://www.brainmodular.com/forums"
best, io

hi,
usually phpbb isnt that bad in handling spambots..choosing the right question for the Q+A is quite important though.."a qood question that can not be Googled"

This means new accounts can only post freely after their first post has been approved.

But ideally you want to stop them registering to begin with.
Use the built in Q&A antispam to set a question that cannot be searched for. Preferably something about your board, the logo etc.

How to configure Q&A

Administration Control Panel (ACP) > Spambot countermeasures> Installed plugins > click the dropdown box and select Q&A (it will be greyed out)
Click the configure button then click add
Add your question and answer (you need a Q&A for each language you have installed) click submit
Click "back to previous page" then click "back"
Select Q&A from the dropdown box (again)
Click submit at the bottom of the page.
Done.

We have applied this settings, but still spam.
I suspect that spammer are real humans... not robots.
