Hello Olivier, it seems great!
A pity I don't have a free hand left on stage to try your touch screen improvement ;)

This mode allows very quick manipulations: I use it on stage, just trigg with the right hand (I play double-bass)

whoooooa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! outerwordly!!
you are a magician, Olivier!
your usine4 spell is enchanting, now chance to resist i am already lost in reverie!

wanted to quote the features I like the best but my post would be too long :)
touch screen support really is fascinating, so obvious every audio soft would need that.

wonder what the French quick start is?
...is there a risk we loose our girlfriends to usine? ;)

The new site design certainly looks snazzy.

You remember me ranting about Usine and touchscreens, no? Mine broke many months ago :_(

Hi Senso,
to be honest, I'm a bit "concerned" about the touch screen edition.
At the moment I'm running my old PIII laptop with my Usine live setup and the CPU use is almost fully maximised, so I'm a bit afraid that I won't be able to run the new version with all the new features anymore (I'd probably don't need them anyway since I haven't a touchscreen).
So my questions are: Is the touch screen version optional and will it consume more CPU than the current version?

the next version will have about the same CPU consumption. Just a better multicore optimization, but a PIII your not concerned.

You're right, it's a french project. But since it's for (almost) any musican on this earth, so, well, french is not quite the right langage for this!
And yes, you're right, it's genious. But don't say that to Senso, he won't believe you!
Welcome here and enjoy.

First: I'm almost certain you'll be able to run it. Second: you just need it, even if you don't use touchscreen (just like me)! Third: keep the version you use now, just in case (I mean, just in case it becomes collector, of course).

I might have a wicked deal on 2 (sadly serial port to USB) touchscreens so I can involve non-PC afficianado people with intuitive user interfaces to control virtual instruments and fx! $125
Man, so busy I don't even know if the guy is still selling them, hard to decide if the latency is worth it but I want the touchscreen edition so bad (I've been ranting about it for over a year!) I can taste it!
