Here are some examples made with plant VST and virtual synths. With the function to generate random midi. Here, with his piano. It is the one who asked me the greatest problem with the flow of notes, it was overload when I wanted a series of fast notes.

Here, with the emulation Ems Synthi Aks, Ems AVS. That there are interesting with the "interval" is also able to obtain changes "timbres" here, they have a very electronic.

Always with the Ems Avs, but with a desire to have long notes, to expand the timbres. Make like a kind of sound that advance ...

Here, changes with the Minimonsta. The echo and reverb are those Ableton Live 7 :

Haven't had the chance to listen (at work...), but if you used the Step MIDI or the Random MIDI modules, these only generates NoteOns which might account for the overload problem.

The simplest way to generate NoteOffs, is to patch in a MIDI Transformer and set length>0.

interesting,
thanks for the large demonstration of random midi possibilities.

Another direction to explore is to play a midi sequence (in tempo) but with a jitter on the tempo: use a random data or a step data connected to the master sync tempo.
It gives a very interesting 'human' playing.

Thanks bsork, I have testing. It's great, I have get NoteOff.

"but with a jitter on the tempo"
What is a jitter ? How I do for the patching ?

For "jitter": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jitter

For patching, use whatever source - random or cyclic or whatever - to generate some data that you connect to the tempo input of a master (or for that matter local) synchro module.
