So, this is my first painting or conceptual music, because it 's made on music software.
here my workspace, you can paint colors right on matrix, roll the hue with mouse wheel.
Default color is red and you can't find black or white, but otherwise it works fine.

nice one ! really cool idea and matrix use,

can't resist to add some little modifications
when you edit color , there's black cells, I've change the border size in the layout to avoid this..?
i've add a sheet selector to have 8 presets
also add a keep color switch to use same color twice ( this block the reset on your color selector)

Actually you have to click twice the color switch when you change the sheet, can be improved

Thanks, for improvements, now it is more comfortable to draw. Ans, yes... "keep color" is good idea, it think it mus be default.

strange conditions.... ?
just one think about changing border size. If we reduce matrix size, cells border size 30 is not enough thick. So, I decide change it with internal mesage:
SET_LAYOUT matrix_name 'cells border width' 50 / color button On
SET_LAYOUT matrix_name 'cells border width' 2 / color button Off

It works only if layout panel is open + after click on matrix, otherwise not. Is it only on my machine or .... ?

when i open your workspace , it's works directly , no need here to open the edit layout or click on the matrix, maybe some one else can confirm...?
