Hi all Usine users

here is my last work with Usine hollyhock and others tools.

i am not a musician but an visual artiste. i work with sound like i paint or draw.
I was seduce by Usine for its possibilities to manipulate sound rapidely and with a very graphic user interface that you can create.

i use Usine first to find creativity and compose for a choregraphic projects.

The may 30th, i was invited to an improvisation exhibition with two painters.
i can't prepare one workspace. Less CPU or memory !!
i need 8 VSTi to work with Gestrument.
but Usine crashes with more than 2 VSTi in a workspace (Usine crashes when i close it).
So i choose to use Gestrum with Reaper with the 8 VSTi.
i use Jack to root sound.
So, Three softwares on my macBook Pro have get less CPU and memory.

is there a bad way to use VSTi with Usine ?

Those technicals difficulties didn't stop me.
i prepare several tools and 6 différents workspaces.
But open a workspace needs time.
So i did the transition with reaper during the loading of a workspace.

it was a great experience : improvisation and give to ear my work in live =:)))

but i have to learn a lot on how to use Usine for a good improvisation.

can you precise your configuration ( ram, OSX version) the vsti used ? voices numbers per vsti ?

Ram : 16Go 1600 Mhz DDR3
DD 500 Go SSD
écran rétina 15"
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 Mo
audio interface : MOTU ultralite-mk3 hybride

For my project PAN111,
i generate 8 midi chanels with gestrument on iPhone.

I tryed one patch to treat the 8 midi input with the same VSTi (chromaphone or Camel).
But usine became unstable and crash.
I do that without crash in Reaper.
So i decide to use VSTi in this daw beside Usine ...2 softwares is less ram and CPU isn't it ?
I can use Usine with a patch with only 2 VSTi.

i don't try again with the new hollyhook 2.0.78 or 2.0.81

Have you an idea ?
