I've uploaded the addom AoN random by Thomas Thomas Helzle in the addon section.

Here is a quick presentation:

AoN Random is an add-on to create pseudo-random sequences of control events with a lot of control over the result. It is based on fractal noise algorithms inspired by some shaders for 3D-graphics.
Pseudo-random because the internal structure of this addon allows to create the same sequence for the same input numbers, and so is "repeatable".
For maintenance convenience, you can download the addon from my server. In order to download it, use the link found in the text file.

Great , really a huge work thomas !
and thanks ethnix for the wiki !
about the download process, really necessary to have this 2 steps..?
and maybe better to use zip format for the 2 files, i know that 7z is a good compression tool but maybe some of the users will don't want to install an other tool just for an archive..?

ethnix73: thanks a lot for your work on the wiki!

nay-seven: yeah, I think that is a bit complicated. My interest was to have the add-on on my own server, so it's easy to maintain, but I wasn't aware that it's not possible to have a direct download link. This two-step procedure is indeed a bit weird.

ethnix73: Would a direct link to the files be possible instead?

nay-seven: Hm, I hardly use anything else than 7zip since it's able to create much smaller files than zip and is open source, but in this case size isn't a problem. We can re-zip this if you think it's a problem.

ethnix73: If it isn't possible to have a direct link to my server, I think it makes more sense to just have it on the Sensomusic server itself, even if that will need extra steps in case of bugfixes etc... and make it a zip if that seem more convenient to you.

And finally: if anybody should encounter problems with the add-on, please let me know.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Thomas Helzle

Cool, that would be good, and I created a zip at the same location with otherwise the same name (and twice the size ;) ):

Take whatever you prefer.

Thanks and best regards,

Hi Seb, I just tried and when I click on the name "aon random" in the Add-Ons list (I don't get why all links are in small letters on the Sensomusic Site and Forum? Pretty contraintuitive .css setting IMO) I still get a zip with a text file that contains a link to the 7zip file - just like before.
Can that be fixed as you said above?

Cheers and thanks!

I'm afraid there isn't another solution thomas...

You've got to upload a file in order to create an addon.

That's why i've put a direct link in the addon description.
