Hello, I am trying to write a script and I'm finding the documentation in the online manual somewhat limited. I can probably make things work anyway but are there any more resources about this out there? For instance, is there any documentation on the various parameter types (TParamType) such as the difference between a ptDataField and a ptDataFader and when to use which? I also checked the SDK documentation but the description for virtually all fields in the enum TParamType only says "parameter".
Thanks
Jens
Scripting Documentation
sorry for the leak of documentation,
we will improve this section of the manual, but it's endless.
The ptDataField is a data in/outlet that you can edit but not change with the mouse, unlike the ptDataFader witch is a "normal" fader that you can modify with the mouse.
Also we realize that some declarations are missing and will be updated in the next release.

Thanks for the reply Olivier! I'm making my way through it. The scripting engine is quite a powerful tool, it really deserves more documentation to unlock its potential. So the parameter types correspond to classes that have various member parameters such as min and max values (for the ptDataFader) which in turn allow them to be used with corresponding UI controls. I also found the Fastscript documentation online but it would be quite helpful to have a reference to the Pascal-like syntax. On another note, it took me ages to figure out how to open the Trace panel, perhaps you could add a hint in the trace-panel wiki page.
On the positive side, the essential information on scripting is there, especially the stuff that would be very hard to find out without the documentation. It's fun. Keep it coming!
