I just found out that I don't have edit access to the Wiki. The pages appear as if I'm not logged in, and when I click "login" I'm redirected to the forums page where I am already logged in...

Really strange cause nothing has been changed about rights recently , specially for administrators.
I've create a fake user (only gold member) and i can access to the edit page..
can someone confirm..?

I get this behaviour using Opera 11. With IE 8 I can't log in at all. Whether I've logged out (and closed) Opera or not, doesn't seem to matter.

IIRC, there was something similar wrong with logins some time ago - during last year, I suppose.

I've tried with other machines running IE 9 under both XP and Vista, as well as IE and Opera under Win7 on both my work machine and my music machine - same behaviour everywhere.

hi,
very strange because the wiki access mode has not changed for a long time.
Did you enabled all the cookies on IE?
I suspect a security restriction from IE.
Personally I had to disable all the IE protection to access to the wiki correctly but it wasn't a login trouble.

I tried to enable all cookies in IE without success. It seems that might be some double trouble going on, as I created the new user I'm now, and stay logged in when swithcing to the Wiki, but still no Edit button visible. It's supposed to appear somewhere in the upper right of the window, isn't it? It's been a long time since I tried, so I dont' quite remember how it looked like. It might actually be such a long time ago that I did some Wiki editing, that it was before the last code changes...

Oooops - I didn't see that... Seems it has something to do with my user account, as I don't get the login problem and I can edit with my new bsork2 user.

As I've said, I've tested as bsork with both IE and Opera on my work machine (Win7/32 bit) and my private music machine (Win7/64 bit), as well as IE on a couple of other machines my family uses (XP and Vista).

As long as I can used bsork2 for Wiki editing, it doesn't really matter for me, but the problem may be something to have in mind next time something is being done on with access rights and so forth..?

Glad you've found a workaround, but the mystery is still here ! ;)

I have the same symptoms on my IE8. I've tried to look at this problem, it's not as simple as it seems.
Bsork, is there written "Logged as Bsork" at the bottom of the page, even if you seem to be unlogged ?
I'll try to go deeper tomorrow.

I tried a quick test on my work machine, and now I don't get logged in at all from IE8, but from Opera it stays the same: Ok in the forum, not in the Wiki. And yes, the "Logged in as: bsork" thing is there at the bottom.

A little bump here on this old matter, as I have to login with "bsork2" to use the new bug report window....
