I am new to Usine : this tool seems to be perfect for my needs, and the oscillators found in the Synthesis pack are what I was looking for ! I have already built some kind of theremin driven by the mouse... Thanks to Olivier Sens, Nay Seven and every one involved in the making of Usine !!

But I have an issue installing the synthesis pack. I extracted the archive in my "Usine5.17FilesUsine Library" folder. When I first loaded the OSC patch, Usine told me
"Can't find the VST D:vst_UsineSynthesis Pack VST_V0.9Oscillator (Mono).dll"
and then
"Can't find the VST D:vst_Usine__SYNTHESOSC3.dll".
I found these files were in the subfolder
"C:Program FilesUsine5.17FilesUsine LibrarySynthesis Pack v1.0 by Nay-SevenDLL".
I manually created the required folders on my D: drive, moved the files, rebooted Usine, reloaded the OSC patch, and it works fine.
But when I load the FX_reverb patch, Usine looks for "S:VstPluginsSynthesis Pack VST_V0.8bFDN_Reverb.dll". As I haven't any S: drive, I cannot create that folder and move the right .DLL inside it...
In conclusion, for all the patches contained in the synthesis pack, Usine seems to look for the .DLLs where they aren't meant to be.

Is my situation unique ? Is this a common bug ? Does anyone have any solution ? I have (not thoroughly) searched the Sensomusic and Nay Seven websites and found no information about that issue.

My configuration is :
Windows XP Pro SP3
Usine 5.17 Free, stand alone, installed in C:program files
Syntyhesis Pack 1.0
Matrix Pack 1.1
Old Dell Inspiron laptop. Pentium 3 (?) 1,4 GHz, 512 Mo RAM

Thanks again for making Usine and its additionnal packs and add-ons !!

Gilles.

hello and welcome Gilles.d
i suppose it's a version problem, cant remember right now but in old version you have to put the dll files in your vst dir
so 2 solutions :
if you want keep your old version put all dll in your vst/vsti dir
or better : upgrade to latest version ,and just unpack the zip in you library , must work

btw glad you enjoy this pack, i've some upgrade to do soon , for the additive and spectra one..

about French , here it's the official forum and 80% of our users aren't French...but if needed , you can also use
audiaufanzine french forum

one precision : it's not in Usine/files/usine library
but in your library ( if you don't have create one yet you can also use Usine/files/demo dir for example)
but could be any dir outside Usine ( better to manage updates ) just enter the path in the global setup/interface
i 'm gone to be more precise in the how to install .txt, sorry

Actually ran into the same problem on the newest version of Usine & synth pack (downloaded a couple of day ago). Finally solved it by moving all DLLs in Usine's filesdemovst folder.
This is not a big issue, but should be addressed in the installation manual.

checked with 5.25k
install a fresh version of Usine, create a new folder "my library" outside Usine folder /put all the pack inside
works fine...?

The install is fresh and new (actually 3 days old).

Basic issue is that the VSTs in the pack are not scanned by Usine.
They just need to be put wherever convenient & scanned (Usine Demo folder already contains some VSTs that I guess are useful, so I just dumped everything there and it works fine).

I think it just needs an additional line in the installation manual "copy the content of the DLL folder in your Usine VST folder (default is demo/VST)" , nothing more.

I am having a problem with installation. Pardon my lack of experience, I am just beginning to explore the Usine demo and decided to try out the Synthesis pack at the same time. The documentation says to extract-all to Usine Library (set in global setup/interface/patch library). I simply do not see anything resembling ay of those directories in my Using folder. I extracted the files in the "Usine Library" and left the folder name as is, but the patches will not load (despite being visible in the browser). Any help...?

hello and welcome,
i've test on a fresh install and it works

so,2 way here :

Create a dir wherever you want and give the path in the global setup/interface/patch library ( this solution is better to manage Usine updates) and you'll see the contents in the library tab of the browser.
extract all the zip here

Or extract all the zip to the Usine library, something like
D:Usine Pro StandAlone 5.70 035Usine LibrarySynthesis Pack v2.0 by Nay-Seven

you must see something like this :
