Anyone else not able to load VST plugins with HH3?
Normally, when scanning for VST plugins, I would get about 3% before I have to restart Usine and get another 3%, etc... But with HH3, when I scan, it gives me 16% and freezes. After a restart it goes to 26% and freezes. After a restart it goes back to 16%. It never completes and leaving it on all night does nothing too. I do have both HH2 and HH3 on one system, don't know if that makes any difference. Also I'm using Yosemite. Anyone else having this issue?
No, anyone has report this currently, certainly some corrupted, old or specific plug ins
you can find some files to study :
Usine.app/Config/Plug-InsCorruptedPlugins.init and ErrorPlugins.init
These are text file, so you can read them with textEdit, then you can try to deplace some of them and retry the scan

Curious if using the "load previous config" would cause issues between versions. Did you do this with HH3 dmitriyc?

I had some problems at the begining but after few scan it be ok

UPDATE:
so....tried reinstalling HH3, tried to point the vst folders to an empty folder on HH2 just for giggles. Apparently HH3 doesn't like Massive. It gets stuck at 17% specifically on the Massive Audio Unit. @nay-seven: I tried your solution, but it seems to just want to happen over and over. A thing to note: even though I pointed HH2 plugin folders away from what they previously were, HH3 new installation came with those folders already pointed to the old ones, not an empty folder. Any ideas?

I deleted a bunch of unused components and vsts and that seems to have done the trick! awesome!

No worries. It seems it was getting caught up on the audio unit files. All the important stuff works! Thanks for the attention!
Yep. Audio Units make a **lot** of problems with scanning. Looks like HH3 is way more picky.

Yeah, no problems what-so-ever with VST.
I'm having some troubles using many plugins. I'm on a win 10 pc, brand new laptop. Usine doesn't seem to be able to "see" many plugins i downloaded (all 64bit) when scanning.
Check if you're using 64bit version of Usine and locations of course. Also, sometimes after migrating settings from one installation to newer, you might need to re-enter locations for plugins and rescan then.A_L wrote:I'm having some troubles using many plugins.
