win 11 ?

Unread post by grego mondo » 10 Oct 2022, 10:11

Hello, it's in the title as we say.

Should I go on win 11 or stay with 10 (wich seems ok to me) ?

Have a good day

Hello

Unfortuately not tested with audio until now.
But it works without any problem with a data workspace you can't imagine the size and the complexity, more than 35 000 modules, not a joke.

I have not tested Win 11 extensively with HH yet but otherwise no notable problems with any other audio apps or drivers and performance seems good.
I personally think that unless you are using the latest intel cpu's that can benefit from the new thread director in Win 11 then there seems to be no
particular benefit to upgrade from Win 10 at this time.
Also the TPM 2.0 requirement for Windows 11 is a bit ridiculous as it excludes many recent, and most older computer systems from being Win 11 compatible.. I guess there is a workaround to install without TPM but why they chose to do this requirement for home users is a head scratcher.

because personal data security is recognized as important factor these days, plus either way there's not much benefit from upgrading yet, unless indeed latest hardware is used.

either way, so far no quirks discovered, works same as it did on win10. even new intel CPU with mixed cores doesn't get it confused. I suppose there is some potential in leveraging efficiency cores for specific low-demand tasks, but then again I think high demands will always go to most performant cores automatically either way.
