It's so solid for me now-- even when doing heavy patching and scripting it's going days without a crash (save your work often when developing, though), and it's rock solid in regular use. It hasn't crashed on a gig in years now, not since the first few V5 versions. I'm losing my bleeding-edge reputation
It runs 4-8x as many VSTs as REAPER can at 128 samples, super efficient for live use (I tried replicating this setup in Reaper, and LUA is super fun to program in, but Reaper just doesn't cut it live.) In the studio, producers love that I have thousands of categorized sounds across multiple VSTs a couple of button presses away, and I can split and layer them as deep as you want and route them to effects and different outputs through a 15-channel mixer as fast as the suggestions come in. No opening windows, no digging into menus, it's all there on one page.
And when I have suggestions, I almost always get a response, often from Olivier himself. Often the feature has already been implemented. With Reaper, Max or Native Instruments, you may get lots of help with issues from users, but the development team is totally MIA, and there's no knowing when or if a given feature will ever show up.
Super happy with the way things are working. And I use just one tiny corner of this program's functionality!
cheers,
=e
