hi

first I wish to all an happy new year !

I'm actually working with dancers , and the video of the wiimote with usine give me some ideas for the dancer, who could manipulate the sound on stage with the wiimote.
As I'm totally a newvie with this, I will need some advices:

1 do you needto be in front of the computer for using the wiimote as olivier do in the video ? I'm thinking to use a bluetooth usb key class 1 ( officially 100 m)
2 do you need to connect again the wiimote when you chain differents projects ?

3 I do not search the perfect controler for precision, in your opinion, does this idea make sense ?

thanks a lot for reading

Depending of your blue-tooth dongle , but no, you don't need to be in front the computer , you can use an usb extension ( just 1 m ) to put it over the computer, could be add area performance

About second question, I've never try but don't think so , cause the connection is made by the windows software you use ( bluesoleil or other ) and except if you need to reboot the computer , this connection stay alive..?

of course it make sense ! ;-) ,, then if you have more budget , there's also others solution with dedicate sensor ( look for interface z and eowave )

yes nay well answered;

the only thing that could need some tweak is if you use the IR part (i suppose you will). I think simple leds can goes up to 10m,
but if need more distance, you will need more powerful leds, or some arrays of them (ie when i tested playing far away from a soundsystem, i used 5 leds concentrated together, so the wiimote see a bright single spot, even if very far away, i didn't measure
but im sure i could go at more than 50m with this.
