Hi,

I have just seen the (too soon ?) announce of Usine 5.7 in KVR forum.

The VST export is wonderful, BUT, when I read the comparison chart, I see that the number of in/outs for the Pro version is limited to 2 channels ???
I suppose that it is a mistake, since for Easine it is written 8...
You mean 32, no ?

Hello Jean-Marc !

As i know for the moment the VST export from Usine V 5.7 Pro are only stéréo right.

But the VST export from Easine are already 8 chanels. I supose the multichanel VST export from Usine pro is just a question of time.

Yes a 32 channels version would be great but is not so easy i supose.

I let senso awser.

I am stoked about this new VST export function. Out of curiosity, how lightweight is Usine Reader?

yes, we plan to propose a free dll example to download soon , this way you can check yourself.
but this also depend of the composition of your original patch, example with wave files included...

I've for example a simple patch without sample and the reader folder is about 15 Mo and the Dll is around 4Mo

If I understand well, but I will see myself soon, the plugins (dll) are not selfcontaining but they need the player, like with the old Max/Msp 4 runtime ?
I suppose also that the reader has to be downloaded / installed only one time.

not exactly the same ,
actually , i can send you a simple dll
the first time you run it it will install his own reader , that's all

Usine Pro VST has always been 2inx2out. But it was a multi 2x2 with side chaining capabilities.
The main difference now is that Usine Pro is a single 2x2 and each Usine vst is totally independent.
But now Easine is a fully 8x8 and probably 16 or 32 soon.

OK, so I will simply use Easine instead of Usine, no problem.
But where is the Interface Bilder in Easine ?

great! VST version is a great thing for integration with other stuff.
But would be really useful to get Usine generated VST to have multiple in/out to take advantage of the great usine features.
i.e. multiout oriented VST as drum machines ( different output for every drumset piece), or multichannel loopers/samplers

Hello,

Yes ! good news.

I think that this is not a problem if Usine VST Pro does not export 32 channels.

Because usually if we need a VST for mutichanel composition, it is for a specific task or set of specific tasks, and to Easine organize precisely that in IB mode.

If Easine could export 32 CHANNELS VST it would be really beautifu !!!l

Just before we find (Jean-Marc and me) a specific reason that we need Usine Pro VST channels 32.

Mister + ;-)

So the VST export needs a player :(
Very sad news for me
I keep coming back to check on Usine but at the moment it always seems to be one step from greatness
Will check back soon ;)

15 Mo for the Reader in EACH plugin ?
Or there will be a possibility do download the player only ONE time and give the plugins a more correct size ?

15 Mo for the Reader in EACH plugin ?
I don't know where you get this information?
Maybe you should wait until the first release to make your opinion?

The size of the dll is around 4 Mo or larger if you include audio files.

I've just read it in this thread on a previous answer of Nay-Seven :*

Of course !
It was not an opinion, just a question based on the info given here.
4 Mo is nicer ;)
