Hi suggarbearr, basically usine got a Leap module that exposes all the datas it generates in real time on outputs , for exemple palms position X on one ouput, Y on one other and Z, but there are many, many of them you can choose from, ie even each finger position and rotation, velocities ect... These outputs expose datas in a 0 to 1 range, so that's easy to adapt to many things inside usine. For exemple if VST is in usine, just wire this to the input parameter want to control on VST and its'done!

It's also quite easy to generate a midi/osc message out of one. basically we pick the ouptut we want, and just multiply by 127 (as midi CC operate on a 0..127 range) , and finally connect to a 'create midi message' module. then just moving the hand will generate that CC.

sound is kindda special but here for exemple i made a custom simple patch for my needs, in order to 'play live' a psytrance lead rather than writing boring amounts of notes and automation by mouse. works as explained above, here with palm X and Y, that control a gate length and cutoff frequency, hand tilt generate a longer note and hand open/close control kinda flanger FX. iusine generates all the midi messages and im remotely controlling ableton live operator synth via midi:

when you download usine HH2 there is a dedicaced leap workspace with like 6 or 7 patchs that show various possibilities using different things, ranging from XYZ theremin, to one that will more use velocities to act like a perc/piano ect, contolling usine samplers and fx, worth checking

hi,

a small and a bit deplaced question (first post - can't start a new topic):

i would like to use the leap motion controller with usine hollyhock 2 on my old but stable win xp machine.
i know that the controller is only supported on win 7 and up but i read that rather old driver version also worked on xp.
i'm not interested in any fancy leap motion features, no apps, etc. ... just the working leap core service.

could someone around here provide me with the leap motion installer v 1.0.2 or v 1.0.5?

thanks in advance.

cheers,
tl.
