Hello,

Anyone is using Arturia Spark LE in Hollyhock ? I have problem with the Spark controler to be reconize when i'm in Hollyhock ! The plugin in a patch is working fine, but i can't make the controller working. I have checked the midi option and everything seems fine. Do i need to make a specific patch for having the controller working ?

I have the same problem with the Arturia beatsetp and the keystep !

With the keystep , i can use it as a midi keyboard without any problem but the keystep won't be synchro with Hollyhock :( When i start hollyhock the keystep should be synchro and starting but at moment it's doing nothing !

Thank you

I've used the spark LE for quite some time, I believe I remember it is tricky.
One thing is the engine has to be started in order for the controller to recognize, and I think also for the MIDI you need to find the device
and make sure your MIDI clock is set to output.

I'll try mine out here in a little bit see if I can give any pointers.

Hi noise2sine!

I just hooked up my Spark LE, and yes you must have the engine running, as well as press the connect icon manually sometimes to connect.
I think I've had issues too where I had to disconnect and reconnect, but hopefully that helps.

Let me know if you need help I have mine out on the console if you need me to check anything. BTW I am Win10 x64

Hello,

I didn't find a way to make it work with the controller yet ! ihave tried many ways but without success ! i have started the engine and then the connect button , thicking input and output in the midi control panel....
In Ableton in order to make it work, each input and output must not be selected ...that Spark works fine, in Hollyhock i don't know :)

thanks

Hello, generally, you don't need to activate the audio engine to have a controller recognized
so a check list:
- which Usine version have you use? ( have you check the last version ?)
- PC or Mac? (Os version?)
- don't use Usb hub to connect the unit
- Connect the device and start Usine after ( normally not necessary, but for test)
- When you rescan the devices in the MIDI tab , what's happen exactly?

have you tried to turn on/off clock/timecode in midi device's settings?

Also, what does manual says exactly? plugin just tells that 'some' midi connections need to be turned off.

Now, if you open the trace panel / right click / activate the MIDI IN Trace what kind of message do you see ?

As sephult mentioned, it might be because engine needs to run for VST to work properly and connect to device. read his posts above
