Hi everyone

I'm working with Hollyhock 3 on a Win 10 pc.

I recently purchased an M-Mudio EX-P expression pedal to connect to my Arturia Minilab mk II.
Although i tried to program the pedal behaviour through the midi software bundeled with the midi keyboard, in Usine it only seems to function as an on-off switch (or sustain pedal) since there's no sweep, no matter the instance i try to program it for, wether it's a dial or a fader. The expression pedal input on the keyboard is labeled as "sustain" but the midi software allows the user to set different parameters and functions to the input. I guess i'm doing something wrong but i cannot wrap my head around it. Anyone had this issue?

Thank you so much!

Alberto.

is there no other input other than sustain? I think first of all you need to make sure your controller settings allow other than on/off modes

Hi x.iso and thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it's the only input. Well, i'll try to verify if it's on/off mode only, but it seems weird though since the midi software offers many settings available (i can even save presets)... 🤔

Thank you

well, in manual for Minilab mk2 it says:
2.2.1. Footswitch jack
The footswitch jack accepts a momentary footswitch (optional) and allows it to function as
either a momentary switch (such as sustain pedal) or a latching switch (first press/release
sends one event, second press/release sends the next event).
It is best to connect the pedal before supplying power to the MiniLab MkII so it can sense
the pedal’s polarity. Be sure to keep your foot off the pedal when first making the connection
or it could work backward. If this happens, disconnect MiniLab MkII from the power source
and start over
thus, it's designed just for on/off states. seems like you need some converter box from expression pedal to usb midi

I see. Well, mistery solved o guess! 😊
Yes, i thinki will find use of this function and use the expression through a usb converter like you suggested. Thank you so much for your help!
