Wavetables

Unread post by Gilsornette » 22 May 2025, 15:59

Hello,

Where can I find wavetables to use with Oscillator Wavetables? Or what kind of software may I use to create some?
Thank you!

I've loaded wavetables as wave files but when I change the frequency I've got strange results: non linear response, inconsistent, and not following the frequency curve.
As the recording attached. What am I missing?

Hi,
try the module from Oli_lab, it is more compliant with different wavetables ans has a interpolation option for smooth transitions between waves !

Hi,
I checked the code for the module and there is an alogo to cater to different format of waves :
if its a PPG wave, it's less than 32768 samples and divided in 64 one-cycle waveforms, otherwise, if it's bigger its divided in 256 one-cycle waveforms.

I'm working on a new version of the wavetable module with more tweaks !

cheers

Hi.
I'm trying to test “wavetable reader V3.wkp”, but I can't get it to load properly.
I have updated HH to the latest version and I have also updated modulilab and oliloscope addons.
Some files seem to be on a Dropbox and I don't know where to redirect HH to find them ...

I am attaching a screenshot of one of the missing files, there are several.
Thanks for the help.
See you soon.

PS: I'm on MAC Intel OS 10.14.6

Once updated the addons (and restarted Usine) there was no more question from computer for me, Usine figured by his own where was that (on PC)

Hi !
Not very fluent with MACOS, only fire the mac mini to compile the user modules !

As I understand, all the things Usine are in the Usine folder in the app folder.

You may do a search for "wavetables" as its the name of the folder I put them in.

Tell us when it's OK

Cheers

Hi and thank you.
It works.
The Addons folder and all the files needed on Mac OS X are in the Usine folder/contents/Config/Addons/

Thank you for this great wavetables synth. Great job !!
