This is a 'perhaps' a stupid question but I didn't find it in the manual.
When I press the space bar when usine is playing to stop it and then press space bar again to start, usine continues from his actual position.
Is there a way to force a rewind to bar 1 ?

no stupid question kara
by defaut it's your " home" key on your keyboard
but you can change it in global remote / sequencer goto zero

Thanks, but it doesn't solve my problem.
HOME is the sequencer return but I don't use the sequencer.
Let me explain :
I have a patch : piano roll -> VSTi
In the piano roll I have 4 bar midi loop.
When I stop usine with the space bar when the piano roll is in the middle of the loop and then restart with the space bar it just continues where it was in the loop. I would like it to restart at the beginning of the loop.
Well, the good news is that I'm back to Usine... I've tried a couple of others but there is nothing like USINE

first , welcome back!
second :
try to put the sync of your pianoroll to " button"
create a button on the play inlet of the pianoroll
right click and assign a key learn to this button (and choose space )

Here's another tip: In the global remote you've got Synchro Restart; on the dashboard it's the back arrow between the tempo and x2. Assign Synchro On/Off and Synchro Restart to the same key/controller and you will start from the beginning of the cycle each time. Personally, I've reassigned the space bar to do this instead of turning the audio engine on and off, so that Usine behaves more like my other programs.

This is exactly the behaviour I was looking for !
Thanks a lot

interesting discussion.
Maybe I could add an option in the setup to automatically restart the synchro when the audio engine is turned ON?
or fix it by default?

Best of 2 worlds, an option 'auto restart syncro'

Yes, an option to "auto restart syncro" is great...

if we are at this topic right now, maybe an option to let usine behave as midi master would be usefule too for quick (and ultra-stable, high-efficient) sync with hardware devices.
concrete:
options (in standalone):
1. usine as master:
1.a transmit Midi Clock (+ start/stop/continue system messages)
1.b transmit MTC
2. usine as slave
2.a receive MidiClock
2.b receive MTC
3. neither, no sync to external devices required
further:
- hard to say for me how usine should sync in vst mode
