A few things I've noticed so far:
on my monitor, it's very hard to read the names of the midi devices. It's light grey lettering on slightly darker grey.... and the setting to not display input devices on racks is not respected... (although the output setting is.)
The Fullscreen input to the master module doesn't seem to work??
I liked the look of the old faders better when using the title on the side. The background of the text being the color of the fader is less clear than the background of the text being the same as the background of the fader. Of course, I can probably create an image file to do that....
Mentioned in an email, but putting it here for posterity.... Can we have a global option to turn off the selection rectangle? When using the IB with a touchscreen, there is no value to seeing it, but I guess I could see it being useful in patching.... it's certainly not a feature I've ever found myself wishing for.
An old request, but maybe forgotten, or else too difficult? could we have a 'show in patch' button in the inspector? Could be right next to the 'pin'. When I'm patching, I rarely need the menu on the left for anything else, so I'm constantly opening and closing it. And annoyingly, when I do open it, it is not updated to the currently selected object, so I have to go select the object again!
What I'd really like is to have that menu show up on a right click, with the first item being 'show details'. It is, after all, a contextual menu! HH has shown me what a brilliant idea the contextual menu was in the first place. I really miss the screen real estate it takes up, since I'm forever opening and closing it. I realize the context menu is used for other things in the patching window.... so... what if that menu could optionally behave as an actual menu, instead of a docked list? For me, it just doesn't get used enough to warrant the space it takes up. I guess there are times when it's nice, if you are opening a bunch of patches at once... so it would be nice to have either option.
Lastly for today: could I suggest an option in downloads to just download the exe file, where appropriate. You could call it 'upgrade from HH V 4.xxx or later' and zip it with a readMe about where to put it. With the almost daily build cycle, it would save users a lot of download time, and also take a load off your server.
cheers,
