VstVstTimeInfo Sample posistion

Unless i made mistakes, it looks like the sample position vst receive doesn't follow timeline on an 'absolute' manner,
like it doesn't reset to 0 on cycle start, or when pressing restart
as far i i understand it only resets when engine is turned off then back on, wich make it tricky to use.

would that be possible to have an option to either automatically reset the sample_pos to 0 on cycle restart, or some kind
of custom acess button? (might be even more modular)
