OnceInPoly for Containers?

Well, this request is actually a workaround for the fact that there is no 'visible' control for individual GUI elements. So that would actually be my first request.

I'm creating a bank of controls using poly, and would like to make the whole bank visible from a button press. I actually have several similar banks of buttons I'd like to switch between, only one of which is visible at a time.

But if I use 'where', the buttons change position when they go back and forth from 'invisible' to IB. So fixing this would be my second request.

So I put all the controls into a subpatch with a container, and set my polyphony for the subpatch. But now I get many containers, which makes it impossible to put the controls edge-to-edge in the IB.

So

1)a Once In Poly feature for containers would be nice.

2)As would separate size and position values for IB, invisible, and ControlPanel settings of 'WHERE' in GUI elements

3)As would a simple 'visible' control for widgets.

I'm using a beta of a week or so ago, so beg pardon if these have been fixed already.

cheers!

for me it is tricky to create a poly container only to display one of them? (it costs a lot in memory and cpu). I'm sure there are many other simplest way to do this?

I'll take a look.

I'll take a look too!

on a related topic, I notice that 'find in patch' doesn't work for gui elements in polyphony, except on voice 1. This makes it very difficult to lay out polyphonic gui's.

I don't like to use containers, so either of the other solutions would be better anyway!

Most of all, it would be nice to have direct numberical control of gui elements size and position in the IB. But I know I've mentioned this before.....
