Would be nice to use a chromecast for mirroring video or display the toolbox (for musician return)...

Chromecast is made for home-cinema and I'm not sure it's suitable for pro broadcast on stage.
But not tested yet.
If chromecast becomes a standard we will implement it. Actually we can't take the decision.

I think Chromecast is good suggestion. The same for AirPlay and Miracast or any other DLNA network possibilities. With respect to professional standarts I could argue that, even software itself is solid, a lot of patches(+ VST) are like experimental sub-programs and hardly stable, thought usable anyway.

PUSH!
I was wondering ..is it possible to use DLNA devices as separate audio outputs? ..maybe not directly in Usine, but thru facilitating an external streaming client? i was looking into ReaStream from the ReaPlugs-package, but cant get it to work. Maybe Jack could be a solution..anybody got hands-on experience with that?
Setup would be something like 6-8 DLNA devices running on Up2stream HW. Goal would be to use a surround setup in Usine thru a grid of those devices. Latency isnt a big problem..just basic waveforms for intonations and tunings
tnx,

yep sorry..but this was the only thread discussing DLNA in the forum PLUS i wasnt in the 'mood' for starting a new one. i'm still puzzled, why the whole upnp/DLNA isnt a bigger thing regarding small scale audio installations, impro and such..

hello,
I don't think it's targeted for pro audio /video ?
We are more focusing on AVB and ADM standards.

no, it's not very professional but i thought, it might be a low threshold approach to surround sound experiments..also regarding motion kit. i will give it a try with jack..tnx

I think you need something like Voicemeter or Virtual audio cable. afaik HH4 doesn't support Jack yet.

yes..jackrouter works fine..but native support would be nice..bitwig f.i. got it..
i have found a few other solutions like audiophile upnp renderer and such..also the voicemeter-universe..
will update, if something spectacular should happen..
