I was wondering if Ableton Link might be possible to add?

probably too hard to implement and Usine has a "share" mode witch implement exactly this kind of features.
So I'm not sure it will be implement soon, except if it becomes a standard.

So it became kind of a standard, other DAW's (like Bitwig) support it, maybe time to work on it's integration in Usine too?

Yeah, I have been wondering why this feature has not been explored, it looks like it would be an amazing selling point
That being said, what is this "Share" option mentioned above and how can we implement that with 2 computers? one running Usine and the other Ableton Live?

Usine can be networked with other instances of Usine. With this you can have a Master patch and share this with another computer on the network. So say if I create a drum sequencer on my computer I can share this to another so someone else can play it.....then I can focus on playing something else.
Very useful for education as well.

now even VCV Rack supports it:

I hope you see the value of this feature and implement it in Usine.

Cheers!

IMO, any formats that assist Usine in connecting with other hosts is very welcome addition. Link, Rewire and VST each would their own ways would massively improve the ability to use Usine in conjunction with other software and in turn help open up Usine as a product to fit an even wuder user base. My 2 cents.

Necromancing this and strongly suggesting Link as a de facto standard in DJ applications, media serving and studio workflows.

Major applications that support Ableton Link today are:

Media Servers:
Arkaos Grand VJ XT
Resolume Avenue
Resolume Arena <- I own and use this
Resolume Wire <- budgeted for October

DJ programs:
NI Traktor <- I own and use this
Serato DJ
Rekordbox
Virtual DJ

DAWs:
Ableton Live <- I own and use this
Bitwig Studio <- I own and use this
NI Maschine <- I own and use this
ProTools
Reason

Others:
Reaktor <- I own and use this
Akai MPC

For over 200 other applications (mobile included), here is a list of supported programs: https://www.ableton.com/en/link/products/

My current setup consists of Traktor, Bitwig Studio, Ableton Live, Resolume. Everything synced via Ableton Link. Support for this protocol is crucial in my environment and a major plus when considering adding new software.

Please advise whether Link is on the roadmap already, if there is an ETA or if it´s something not actively udner development.

+1 for Ableton Link.
It's so easy to sync with other DAWs!!
Would be great to see this feature in Usine too.
For the moment I am running Ableton Live in the background just for the link, sending MIDI Clock to Usine. It works, but you need a copy of Live to do that and it's also a big waste of resources...

Hi, just reviving this thread :-)
With Renoise, Bespoke and Endlesss now supporting Ableton Link
it would be really very handy to have Usine doing it too.
My workflow now is sending Link from Bespoke Synthesizer to Usine over Midi Clock. At least it's more efficient than running an instance of Live just to convert the Link data to Midi Clock, but it's a hack. Usine is so powerful, I think it should be able to do it!
I know a lot of things can be done with the networking capabilities of Usine, but in most projects I'm doing, people are using different programs at the same time, not only Usine.
So please consider adding Link support. Would be really amazing!!
Thanks and all the best.

I also support this FR. Even if I'm not using it, it's pretty standard now and I think Usine should offer all standard audio/light/video/network protocols.
