On my poor little laptop, it takes about 15 minutes to convert all those files that I have never used, and don't even know how to ;)

And at present I guess I have a dozen or more copies of each of them on my drive.

With HH's agressive (to put it mildly) release schedule, I'm wondering if the sample content could be a separate download? It would speed up downloading, cut file size and avoid duplicate data. It's a pretty standard download model to separate sample data from the rest of a product download.

And extra bonus, then I wouldn't have to try and navigate around the HH splash screen for 15 minutes every time I upgrade ;)

Well, that's true. Also, I always unpack Usine to SSD, but less write operations would surely prolong it's life.

Yeah, my live rig chews through it in about 15 seconds, no prob there, with m.2 nvme on the pcie buss.

But memory is tight on the ssd, so I realize I should delete all those files from non-current versions. Gotta figure out where they are though.

SSD dies much faster if it's filled all the time. So I have to keep at least about 20% free space on it.
