This is related to issue I'm having with this patch: http://www.sensomusic.org/forums/viewto ... 213#p41213

Currently I haven't found a way to reliably track X,Y points of multi-touch input with dynamic array (meaning size of the array should always be consistent with number of points, no 'dead' values in array needed). There's a whole category of External Devices in modules, but there is none for touch specifically. Honestly, it's a bit of a headscratcher for me that this one is still missing. HID Device could help in theory, but it doesn't track anything on my machine from what it can connect to and also even if it would work it would give out bytes instead of X,Y values, which is a pain to deal with.

So for starters there should be 'External Device Touch' module addition to Keyboard, Joystick and Mouse counterparts, this should track points like in Mouse module, just with multiple points and array of absolute values from 0 to 1, touch point states and what else makes it different (relative travel values of touch points maybe?). Also would be nice to extend Track target list (in Mouse module as well) with current/parent/top Patch and IB, and maybe other possible targets.

It's a good suggestion but we will probably obliged to rewrite it from scratch because WIN touch implementation is very basic and don't have such possibilities.
I'll take a look.
