Cross fading

Post by oli_lab » 14 Jun 2022, 20:08

Hi !
I reckon the new "auto fade" feature that comes with the sampler is a cool improvement !
But what about an auto crossfade ?
it could be implemented thru a fader : 0% = no cross fading, 100% cross fading on the whole length of the sample.

attached is an exemple of what can be done with autofade

enjoy !

Yes, I completely agree. The auto-fade feature is interesting but:
1) We should have different values for fade-in and fade-out (ie also provide a "manual fade" option along with the auto one ; maybe a drop-down with two entries "manual" VS "auto" if a neutral "fade" button is checked?)
2) We should have an "auto crossfade". This would be so useful for creating smooth music loops. Patches already exist to achieve this but it's really cumbersome. For my personal use (interactive and adaptive music), it would be a real lifesaver
Maybe for HH6?
Thanks for reading.
