Hi
I'm actually creating some patterns with the piano roll for a drum sampler. each pattern is on 1 midi file from a piano roll.the sync is fine if I use the preset manager from each patch ( midi leain or key learn with quantize on cycle for exemple). but when I use the conductor for storing it ( cycle sync) , there is a "double " midi note on the change of each scene, so there is a double impact for each midi note. the same append with all the vsti I try. it's like that too if I use the midi bus ( piano roll on track 1 and vsti on track 2). if someone could help ...
thanks a lot for reading

i can reproduce this .
i suppose there's a conflict between the 2 quantized midi / key learn
if you use a midi /key learn only in the conductor , the problem disappear...
do you need to have the 2....?

i suppose senso will answer if there's a solution as soon he'll be back

Hi nay
first thanks for the answer.
I try today your solution, but it does not work for me , the same happends, but not always: sometimes there is no double midi note, sometimes there is. it depends maybe ( but I'm not really sure) of the timing of the key or midi press. If you press it on the last beat, it seems to work, but if you press it for exemple during the first 2 beat of a cycle , there is the double midi note.
for your question, that's useful to have the 2 learn and quantize, as the piano roll play from the beginning even if you press it in the midle of a pattern, so all the pattern are not sync.
a solution could be not to use the preset manager, and that the conductor can store the pattern directly from the piano roll ( so you just quantize the piano roll button for pattern) hope you understand, my english is very poor....

I have a bit the same problem.
It seems that patterns created with the piano roll are not stored at all in the conductor...
Is this normal, or did I make a mistake....

how do you create your pattern..?
I've test with 2 faders connected to start pos and end pos fader an other to the num inlet to change also to different midi files and just the conductor
and it's work fine..?

yes, I see what you mean.
but what I was trying is to use it in the same way as a stepsequencer module.
So I draw my sequence, store it in the conductor and recall it at will.
The Piano Roll doesn't work that way, right?

I made a drum + bass sequencer.
The drums are all step sequencers or faders.
The bass is programmed with the piano roll (for obvious reasons).
When I save my 'scene', the data from the drum part (steps and faders) is automaticly saved in the conductor,
but the piano roll stays unsaved (the same), unless I save it as another midifile (with a maximum of 16?)
or give correct position info, which is really not practical.

I just tried with the PRESET MANAGER,
and there it behaves good an exactly like I would like/expect it to behave in the conductor.
I can select 2 mesures, draw a melody, save a preset, alter the same melody and save another preset. No problems.
When I do exactly the same, but instead of saving presets, I save a SNAPSHOT, it doesn't save the melody...

Thank you very much for your help!!!

maybe a kind of compromise could be something like this , you have to use the preset manager ( there's also an addon name 128 presets if you need more ) to store your pattern
but conductor will work to recall them.?
