LaunchControl XL Light Mapper
LaunchControl XL Light Mapper
Hi all.
I try to build a patch for LaunchControl XL.
I build one but I am sure there is a better way to do that.
The one that I patched, works but it is not optimised. I try to explain.
I made a user template for the LaunchControl Device. All midi messages are sent on channel 13, and I affect specific CC numbers for the knobs, buttons, and faders.
I observed that there are 3 possible colors for the button, and different intensity for each color.
Send the CC with code 2 = 60 turn on the red Light
Send the CC with code 2 = 15 turn on the green Light
Send the CC with code 2 = 127 turn on the white/yellow Light
I use a mapper values to adapt the color that I want to each button.
This is my Patch : I tried to find a way with the matrix or array to build this kind of patch. I would have a more flexible way to assign colors to buttons, whatever the CC number.
I dreamed a way of choosing each color for each buttons in a list box or something like.
I’d like this patch should be useful With LaunchControl XL and LaunchControl.
I imagine assigning the CC numbers or Note ON, by pressing the buttons, and chose the right color in a list box.
I don’t know, something more flexible and useful.
I try to analyse the “LAUNCHPAD wizard.pat”, but I didn’t understand and can’t find a way to do that I planned.

My Patch works fine, and I will play with it. But perhaps someone could help me to make it better.
Thank you.

thanks , gone to check
question do you use your launchpad only inside Usine or for external control ? ( soft ou hardware)

Only inside Usine.
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
Ok here one,
to use it , i have change a bit the template , don't worry, just transform the 4 first toggle in momentary mode, cause you can choose this directly in Usine now.
For each switch you can choose color ( v r j ) for vert/rouge/jaune and choose betwen T (toggle) or M (momentary)
in the workspace, there's also 4 switches to test, here i simply drag the switch with [CTRL+Shift] to create a bind

an other one, i have forgotten the 4 switches on the right side, could be useful.
no color choice possible for these ones, new template.

Great news, and glad it work well for you !
And yes, take care too, containment is not an easy period but give us time to patch

Hello.
The Patch works fine. But I should connect my switches and buttons in my workspace with bind to the LaunchControl XL Patch switches. If I use Midi Learn on my switches and buttons, it works if there are in Momentary Mode, but it doesn’t work if I need Toggle Mode. The only way I find is to work with bind between LaunchControl XL Patch and my switches.
Why not, it seems OK. I hope binds doesn’t need too much CPU.
Thank you.

Strange , no issue here to use Midi learn, once a switch is set to T on the patch ?
maybe check the switch settings panel/midi and force the toggle mode ?

You are right! My switches were not in toggle mode. I cleared all my midi learn and restart to learn for all switches. There are now set in toggle mode automatically and everything works fine!
Great and thank you very much.
