Sampler with loop start locator different from start locator
Sampler with loop start locator different from start locator
Hello,
After trying to achieve a simple patch for many hours, I give up and come to ask your help.
I would like to create a sampler that start from 0 (beginning of the sample) and goes to a X value (anywhere in the sample, it could be controlled by a fader by the way). Then it would loop from X to 1 (end of the sample), X to 1, X to 1, etc. without looping from the beginning.
I tried different options but I think the following one is the simplest: use one fader and tell to the sampler: "when you reach the position indicated by the value of the fader, move your start point to this marker value"
But I can't get it worked. I attached my patch with this message. I hope it will be useful.
Thank you,
creal.

Thank you very much Sylvain. It's exactly what I was looking for. I admit that it was too tricky for me
I just wonder one thing: is it possible to see a vertical barline where the loop point is, please? It will move accordingly to the fader position.
creal.
PS : your idea about putting an "0 to 1" after a ">=" is nice. I will use it for other patches
Hi Creal .
have a look at my tutorial :

I made a player that do exactly what you want with 2 markers.
You even set a different end point et stop the loop to read smootthy until the end of the loop.
You'll find on the description the link to download it

I subscribed to your channel one month ago but never took the time to look at it seriously. Your content about both samplers will be very useful to me. Thanks a lot.
One optimization about the first sampler would be to select a crossfader curve, like Reaper (or any other DAW) provides: linear, expo fast start, expo fast end, etc.
But in its current state, it's already a huge step forward for me and the project I'm at the present time
Hello.
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
have a look on my update : https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code ... w037DDSb8X
you'll find a kind of curve on this way

Waou, that's super useful. I added a combo box for selecting the kind of curve (to both samplers). It's perfect. Thanks.joffo78 wrote: ↑07 Jul 2020, 00:17Hello.
