Cross fade Loop

Unread post by hughes » 02 Sep 2020, 16:40

Hi, i m trying to create a simple looper, witch would cross fade the end of the sample with the start while looping.
i think it needs two samplers + adsr
obviously they play the same sample.
one plays, and at the start of the release > second start to play with the attack, until the release > one start again etc .
don't know if the idea is clear, but i can't make it works...
the adsr doesn't seems to be able to send out data to start sampler at the start of the decay.

maybe it could be done with one sampler and a sort of buffer witch would play the end of the sample, while the sample restart ?
or even maybe it already exists in HH somewhere...

i've tried with a sylvain t patch in a previous post, Auto%20ADSR%20Example - but i wasn't able to really understand what was happening.

if someone is interested in this sort of looper, and can explain a few steps i'll be very grateful !
best - Hughes

Have you test the cross fade looper of Usine ? ( template when you drag a sample)

Have you open its settings panel ? the small toothed wheel when you pass the mouse in the upper right ?
you can also add a switch to play loop inlet of the sampler.

thanks for your answer Nay,
yes i opened the settings and even try to figure out how this works with looking at the patch. but it's complex behaviours - witch makes great sound moments in playing the sample - but i can't manage to use it in a really simple way, one loop of a nearly whole sample, with cross fades. i need to learn patching a lot more ! ;-)
