Newbie needs help with audio input

Hi, I've just discovered Usine and am very excited about it. But I'm stumbling at the first hurdle.

I can't seem to get an audio input to work. I can make sound with sampler patches for example, but if I add input 1 device to the In of a rack, then say a delay patch, I get no sound. I've checked in setup that my audio device is selected and activated, I'm just using the mic on my MacBook and the built in speakers at the moment for testing, both input and output say they are enabled.

I've been through the manual and the first few tutorial pages and can't see an answer, Im sure I'm doing something wrong because it's such a basic thing!

did you check the Mac authorizations to allow Usine to access to the microphone ?

Yes, I thought of that just after posting. Usine is not in the list of apps that have requested permission to use the microphone. But it seems dragging the application in to the list isn't allowed, and I can't see another way to add it. I don't recall the usual question asking me to grant it access, as I would have done so. How do I add an application that's not listed access to the microphone?

Please use the latest Beta.
The 211124 is probably not compatible with your OS!

That was it! As soon as I opened it I was asked to grant access to the microphone and now everything is doing what I would expect.
