Forgive me if this is a noob question or maybe answered on a different post, is there a way to get the Sampler module to play the whole way through a sound file even when a different file is selected in random mode? It appears that only one file can be selected at a given time, so maybe the sampler just isn't built to play multiple files at once, or maybe I'm missing something. Thanks for your help.

Sampler is not done to play multiple files at once.
Polyphony settings is usefull in midi in mode for playing chords for example....

Nay-seven, thanks - the poly works great for my initial question but as far as my patch gui is concerned is there any way to apply Once in poly to the sampler waveform display? I.e. for clearing a list of files / adding new files & having that applied to all instances of the sampler at once. Can share patch if needed. Thanks again.

ok, here a partial workaround
check it
not perfect cause when you have edit the list you still need to open the sub-patch and click on
apply polyphony
cause , for the moment no way to do this outside the sub-patch ( but I've submit this to senso who will take a look )
maybe there's other way, i will continue to study this
what i like with this one is the way the waveform add themselves

I was trolling the forum trying to get a better understanding of Polyphony and came across this post. I had the same question as the OP - how to get samples to play all of the way though to the end, even if another sample started. In my case, I was trying to trigger a drum roll and the clipped samples sounded silly. I noticed that the excellent BeatFormer handled samples in multiple ways but the coding was beyond me. Now that I am learning polyphony, I suppose I should take another look.
At any rate - here's my workaround, called
MultiGrains
And here's the reason I made it, called
SeqRoller
I haven't tried the polyphony approach yet but am about to.

don't forget to check this
wiki page
and you'll also be happy to know that next version will contain a new granular module
