Hello,
I would like to create a coherent transitions between two songs in the way that the first will begin to get distorded while the second one will start getting out from the same distorsion.
For the moment, I put one song on the first line of the grid panel, the second one on the second line. I created a "FX" rack (called "Blackout" in the picture) with two inputs (Grid line 1 & grid line 2) so that my two songs will use the same distorsion FX at the same time. I then put the FX rack (in blue) on a third line of the grid panel with a fade in at the end of the song 1. But I heared both the song 1 with its dry signal and the song 1 passed through the FX rack. To solve the problem, I created a fade out with the grid line 1 so that the dry signal would fade away while the wet signal coming from the FX rack would start to sound. The problem is that the input of the rack seems to be post-fader. Consequence: I don't have sound anymore. I also noticed that there may be a problem withe the fade out of a rack item in the grid panel: contrary to the audio items placed on the grid, the grip fade out of the rack item creates the fade out after the end of the item (!). Is it normal? I don't know if it's just graphical or not.
What would be the best way to achieve my purpose, please? Any advice is welcome. I can give more detail if my words are not clear.
Thanks,
creal.
