Hello.
I'm not used to working with sequencers. That's why I have a few questions that might seem a bit silly to ask.
I would like, for example, to create a random note sequence with random note triggers.
But in which each bar would include for example at least 1 eighth note triplet and a half note. This is just an example.
To start thinking about such a sequencer I have some questions:
- How to create triplets within a binary bar in a sequencer?
- It seems easy to work with binary rhythms but how to create ternary rhythms? Is it enough to switch the bar to 6/8 for example ?
If you have any tips on how to start creating such a sequencer it would be very helpful.
Thanks to all of you.
Have a nice day.
sequencers ternary rythm
what kind of sequencer do you use ? Piano-roll, sequenced-trigger ?
For a sequenced-trigger, just set the number of steps as a multiple of 6: for a 4 beat, use 24 steps.
6 can be divided by 3 (triplets) and in 2 (8th notes)

Thank you.
I understand and it works.
shure i will be back for new questions about sequencing, but i need experiment before.
Thanks a lot.
