Is there any way in the SDK to open the script editor so it can be used for other purposes (such as a general text viewer and editor) ?
If not, would it be easy to package the editor as a module (like a text panel but with edit functions, etc) ?

I don't use the sdk, but I do a fair amount of scripting, and I go the other way around... I do all my editing in Notepad++.

Food for thought, if you haven't tried a 3rd party editor yet.

By general purpose, I mean within Usine. I wanted something to display lyrics and maybe edit chord changes, that can be controlled in a patch.
