Template Project

Good Morning!

So I am familiar with modifying the existing projects/solutions.
Question is to start fresh as a template, what should I be doing?

I've read it's quite convoluted to rename projects, but I know there are many here that do all the time.
What are the best steps to create a working template project?

I looked in modules/template but it still threw me an error.
