sdkfilltext font

Does anyone know what font is used with sdkfilltext ?
I need to work out how long a text string is at a certain font size, so I can detect if a right aligned and left aligned caption in the same rect are going to collide. I know it is affected by Bold, etc, so it is probably impossible to work out.
Perhaps a new function for the the SDK ?

Or is there a way to embed a particular font into the module ?
