Hello.
Finaly, I come back to Usine.
Well, I can say it, there is nothing better in the same cathegory. Absolutly nothing.
And, Olivier, thanks for the straight wires!
I have two probs with NI DXi plugins.
1. With FM8. I don't know how to change sounds (means patches). Program Change does not work.
Note: I used CONSOLE Sound Modular System and each window could have its own snapshots, called presets, that could be changed by any CC#, that was a good idea (but they did not work every time the same!).
2. With Absynth 3. Program Changes works BUT only if:
a. I go in its setup menu and say ?Enable ProgramChange? each time I reopen my WorkSpace
b. I make its form visible (I have anyway to do it to enable ProgramChange), then send any ProgramChange msg, then close back the form.
Arturia Moog and Minimoog work fine as plugins in Usine, I just have to do first my list of presets.
All this is hard for my CPU, I shall ask some questions about this point later.
Thanks for any help.
Vincent.
How to change sounds un plugin NI FM8 ?
I don't know this plug, but generally NI products work fine.1. With FM8. I don't know how to change sounds (means patches). Program Change does not work.

Try the Interface Control / Preset module to store or recall your programs.
Personnally, I never use the PC# or CC# command to recall VST presets.
I have the same problem but I think that it comes from ABSYNTH itself.2.
Use a switch to toggle the VST window Visible/Hiden it will help you. I have noticed that the VST version is less efficient that the stand alone.

Olivier,
OK, fine! Presets seems to work for FM8 changing programs.
Thanks!
Does it mean that I should have only ONE synth by Track?
And OK for Absynth, I think I'm gonna use Presets too.
The problem is that it's not exactly the same purpose.
By changing programs, you can browse. It's convenient for compositional work, or impro.
By activating Presets (8, or 16, but not 128!), you cannot make mistakes in live perf.
Well, I'll manage...
Bye

I'm sure you will find many solutions for your problem.
You can have any VST's you want in a patch, all saved by the preset.
you can also have any preset module you want...

Well, I've found how to do, but I must first experiment.
I'll tell you how, if some of you use FM8.
