Hi folks, i don't know if someone did it before but i made a patch for scratching samples by swiping your mouse or finger over a wave display. The Pitch depends on the speed of your Finger/Mouse movement. Just like real Scratching. You can adjust its behaviour with some faders for min/max Pitch and Start/Stop smoothness. Maybe some of you can make use of this patch. And if anyone got suggestions to improve it, please tell me...

And here a drumloop to feed it...

have Fun! :D:D:D

 i'm glad you like it! and i'd love to make this an add-on!!! but i think it needs some improvement. the sound is very glitchy when moving the mouse slowly. and it sometimes clicks when the playback stops. any suggestions?

about the play button: i use "pause" for stopping when the destination position is reached. thought it was easier than using "stop" and "play". is there any advantage for using play button mode?

using the play option let you play part of the sample in a normal way time to time..?

Hi Suttnese!

Your patch is very interesting. I tried to bring some modification because I shall like I can make the following things:

=> when we release the mouse (on display) the file is playing in loop mode since the place we have release. Also I wanted to add a control mute syncro with a lfo (for example at 16th) to replace the effect of the crossfader. ControlMute is active only when scratching.

My patch modification is a little tinkered but in the end that gives that...: http://sensomusic.com/forums/uploaded/U ... tput-1.wav (Not always syncro but well you see the idea ;) ). If you have an idea for integrer these functions with a clean editing it will be great.

Thank you.

edit: The link doesn't work for me... but the file is in the uploader. Sorry for the size, but direct from the rec button of Usine :20 sec = 3mo...:/ idon't understund...

hey ethnix, thx!

finally i was able to spend some more time with this patch. the wave display now has three zones. the two lower ones are gated at a synced speed of your choice. the sample plays back at a choosable speed when finger/mouse is relaeased....

i made an example of what this patch can do:

and here's the sample i used:

hope u like it!

Yeeeeeeaah!

Very very great work! Exaclty what I wanted..! Even better..! Very well the idea of the three zones. It is a pity there are some audio clicks.

In any case "bravo"!

Now I have to see this patch in detail to understand how it work..!

But before that, I'm going to have fun..!

Thanks
