First attempt to use the matrix module , here a little horizontal sequencer with some options:
directions, range, mirror , active rows and a special ( beta stage ) fade option .

not reel size :

Have a look at the wiki page here to learn how to use it...

@martin :i don't send you this one for example for the pack cause the fade option is a little esoteric in the method and in beta stage..

Feature request~
I would like to see an option for drawing in note length..

Thanks for the share!

woa i finally had time to check it, it's a really huge and great work nay!, im trippin on it!, also there are lot of interesting subparts (im gonna catch you some once ive understood them, curious about your sychro system, some inc/dec mmmm, also there are nice matrix scripts.love the ability to mute notes in the column, have to study that deeper, and ouch that array to midi seems hot..
polyphonic midi from array mmmm.
general concept is very nice, good job, one of my favorite!

@guru
i also would enjoy a gate system! but it must be hard to implement in polyphonic..I .also how to have a visual of it?
mmmm if we could make kind of linked notes, if two folowing squares are same note, find a way to choose if they are considered as two or as one, mmm seems complex for limited precision, maybe with a second matrix bitmap in below that could trace note lenght, set via fade.

anyway that's a "masterpiece" for me!

Did you try the fall_seq_example of the pack ?
There is two listbox called 'on' and 'off' letting you decide the behavior of cells about 'midi note on' and 'midi note off' ;)
I think it's nearly what you describe with 'linked notes'.

@nay: think it's a good collaborative work, and i love ALL features hehe, especially the fact of choosing loop start/end, wich is from you if im not wrong, also you always manage to turn something "complex" in behind in a really user friendly direct application, and that's a great job.

@martin: oh yup! sorry i missed that, i will retake a look deeper! between i love your script exemples, slowly help me to understand, even if that's a high grade master level  im far to reach yet hehe, that's really appreciated.
keep on your huge work on matrix, im so awaiting the next release ;)

yes, thanks
I think it's really important for new users to find tools easy to use in a first approach , even if they have to study them to understand the engine later..
all musicians are not nerds like us...
next one ( padayan ) will be in same idea..
