This video has been a real inspiration for my current Usine modular virtual synth project.

The plan is still coming together but it will for sure be all Usine audio creation and whenever possible, no VST's. I've been chasing after hardware for the last few months buying different things on Craigslist and usually selling them soon after because it's not just right. Nailing down the right combination of features was difficult and in the end, I think the thing I like the best about hardware is the dedicated controller. So I'm going to start with your (Nay's) oscillators and see where I can find texture and interest in resonance and modulation. Livid has a new controller out that is begging to be hacked (http://vimeo.com/44042754) and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a Queneo to try out.

I can't wait to see what you will do!
I have to say that I'm starting to have doubts about the usability of Usine regarding synthesis, like I said in an other post, I am thinking that there is a patch calculation time problem that keep us way above the sample timing, and so keep us from doing real time modulation (AM or FM) outside a VST. Maybe someone could precise this? I really hope that it is just me getting it all wrong!
