During the next days I'll going public with the module. There is a lot of documentation to write. During my tests, this video was created.

Things shown in the video are described here: Exploration into the Usine SDK (Writing a Serial Communication Module - Part 12)

:-)

think you must wait some days, the input channel works, but needs a little bit better buffering logic and a array out to handle "non string data"

I'll tried to post the first version to the modules section, but I can't upload a picture.

Don't spend time on this. I managed it.

was my fault. I used a wrong image format (jng) instead of (jpg). :-)

The testprogram comes with the IDE.

The Firmata stack you can find unter File->Examples->Firmata use the "Standard Firmata". That's all you need. Baudrate 57600! That's im portant to know. I will add this description to the module description. But this needs a lot of time :-) Xmas is calling....

I'll make some additional patches and testscripts in the next weeks. What do you think? Should I transfer the source to Github or to an other repository? Maybe when it is finished it can be added to the next Usine version. The code is build with "STL" and "boost", so it should be possible to compile it on a Mac also (I've no access to Mac, so I can't compile it).

@nay-seven

see: http://sensomusic.com/wiki/doku.php?id= ... ers:serial

I started to publish some examples how to use the serial module. In the example section you'll find the Arduino source and in the module package the corresponding patch.

03 is comming soon. I'm handicapped due to some medical problems AND... this dammit Internet connection doesn't work properly. I live in a small cowtown and have only a very weak internet connection :-)

Published a new version. Think we should move to the SDK area, it's a better place for discussion about technical details. Posted there a invitation to join the test :-)
