DMX Setup in HH5
DMX Setup in HH5
Hello again. I'm starting to explore the DMX features of HH5. It gets my attention that I do not see any parameters for DMX in the setup light tab as stated in the manual and seen in previous versions of HH:
https://www.brainmodular.com/manuals/hh ... -tab-light
How is this done. It only appear parameters fos ArtNet and not for DMX. I do have a generic open source USB DMX interface that would like to experiment with. I do not see any way to activate DMX and open the light plot.
Any help on this will be greatly appeciated

Hello Ariajazz,
Here attached is a screenshot. In Setup Menu > lights:
- the USB interface, if recognized, is listed and you have to click to activate it
- you can choose the number of light plots that you want (here I've chosen 2)
The lights plots appear in top header, between Tempo and Panic in this config, and you have to select one of them to see it.
This should be the same for you. Isn't it?

Thanks for you help. I will test it later on and let you know the results.
Hello. As stated before, non of the DMX configuration parameters appear in setup light tab as shown in Gisolrnette attached pdf. Instead this is what I have:
I'm using an uDMX 512 interface, driver is installed and the device is being recognized and working by both FREESTYLER and QLC Lighting softwares. Also I'm getting the following error message when HH starts:
create procedure failed in: device DMX

Hello. Anyone has an idea why is this happening?
hello
dmx interfaces are often exclusives
Are you sure only HH was open when you'd test ?

Thanks Joffo78 for replying. Yes, i've tested many times and the error message appears even with no interface connected every time HH starts. I downloaded a fresh copy of HH to discard any bug and the erroris still there. Too bad and sad, I do have some light fixtures that want to put in use. As said bebore, it is working fine with FREESTYLER software but I would prefer to inplement lighting only wyth HH, I don't want to deal with two softwares.
I actually reported this issua a while ago an d got this answer from Senso:

FTDI drivers are not correctly installed on OSX please follow the procedure on top of the page:

use "FTDI Driver Control 1.0.3" to disable the built in driver.
on win:
it's an FTDI driver issue, try to reinstall it.
Personally I recommend to use an ArtNet device much more stable...

thaks Senso for your reply. I don't know why FTDI drivers could be corrupted. I do not have an ArtNet device. The issue is shown in two defferent computers with WI 10 and WIN 11 Os respectively and the eerror message appears in both of them:
create procedure failed in: device DMX
I'll try reinstalling FTDI drivers and let you know thw results.

I reinstalled FTDI drivers and the problem persists. I doubt it is an USB driver related issue since it is presen in two computers and the error message is displayed in both of them. Non of the DMX interface setup parameters are shown in any of the PC computers.
