Here is a little preview of a simple step sequencer with a launchpad as a remote midi controller.

There are still a few minor bugs in this video, but they are easy to solve. Normally adding others others steps fir longer sequence will be included inthis patch. Others improvements like choosing pad color in the launchpad will be also included.
The "midi to matrix" is a little more cpu intensive than expected because i did not find a betterway to deal with the incompatibility between the matrix exclusive mode and the preset manager

The main difficullty was to find a good way to make a video with a medium quality.

My goal is just to show Usiners the progress of patches for the launchpad and Usine; and the possibilities between them. Further different patches will folow. i will upload a better video when this patch will be finalize....

Suggestions and Ideas are, of course, welcome.

yeah cool!!. I like the way you tab and cols controls stuff like velocity and lenght. well done!

little sugg : maybe full control from lauchpad ie of the tabs, but i suppose it's planned.
and maybe a pointer or row running to show loop position on launchpad?

good job!

@23fx23 and nay-seven:
Yes, all function will be accessible from the launchpad. Concerning velocity, octave and lenght tab, i had done it in a previous versions, and it's easy to do. It is not included in this one because i wanted before to implement the preset manager with an exclusive mode matrix....

Back to patching :)

as 23fx sugg:
instead of a list to choose note/octave/length/etc may be you could create grouped switch?
then we could easily make midi-learns on them?

@senso:
yes of course, this list box is still here because it was more convenient for patching.
I had already done the patch with grouped switch, but as this version had nasty bugs, i had to redo it from scratch...

Only one matrix because i stock the different values in arrays before the matrix.
It's the lighter on cpu solution i've found , to deal with the incompatibility between exclu mode and preset manager.
The patch uses 2.5% on an old athlon 3500+ and an ugly onboard soundcard with asio4all

yes, i also use this method ( but in reverse i stock values after the matrix cause i use it directly to enter notes ), it's why i ask .
and what about animation of the sequence , could give life to your patch ..? ( don't hesitate to check the sequenaya method martin give me with the col border selector)

Yes, i will animate the patch and the launchpad. As it is quite easy to implement it, i will put it at last...

How do you enter directly notes in the matrix?
By converting index or by caption?

To come:
-Swing fonction
-Possibility to bypass some steps in the sequence

Playing with this two functions, autochord mode and alternate mode, you can achieve some interesting feelings...

You can't yet download this addon...It will be available when Usine 5.50 will be out.

I will upoad it on the addons sections, so yes you will need the pro version to download it...

I need to work a little more on this patch because since a few weeks i'm working on an mlr/molar like patch.

Thanks for your kind words 23fx23
